Since 2016's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the first-person shooter series has allowed players to express themselves with both gestures and sprays. Both of these abilities are controllable with the D-pad. The gesture will allow the player to perform a certain movement that they wouldn't have been able to otherwise and the sprays are simply graffiti.

According to a new report by Charlie INTEL, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will feature both. It's said that holding the down button on the D-pad will allow the player to choose between a selection of gestures and sprays.

This report came soon after it was discovered that loot boxes will be making a return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. If the upcoming instalment is anything like its predecessors, both gestures and sprays will most likely be unlocked via supply drops.

Based on the reaction to the report, it seems that fans of the shooter franchise aren't too fond of gestures or sprays (or loot boxes) but they'll be making a return nonetheless. We can only hope that they'll be realistic to match the tone of the game — rather than it become the norm to see a soldier moonwalking their way around the map.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25th, 2019.
