Fans of the long-running
Call of Duty series are desperate for information about the next instalment. "Call of Duty 2019" will be developed by Infinity Ward and thus many believe it to be the fourth game in the
Modern Warfare series - this is backed up by countless rumours and supposed leaks.
It's expected that Activision will show off this year's
Call of Duty game at E3, however, an insider recently suggested otherwise. A Twitter user by the name of Shinobi602 (via
Comicbook.com) was one of many insiders and influencers who were recently invited to Los Angeles to see something secretive to do with
Call of Duty.
Given
the recent batch of information revealed about
Call of Duty: Mobile, many assumed it was simply that. That wasn't the case according to Shinobi602. The user made it clear that what they were shown will be revealed in the "near future," and thus many have taken this as confirmation that this year's
Call of Duty title will be revealed before E3. It lines up with many reports which state that the game is to be revealed before May's end.
This is something we really should've seen coming. If 2019's
Call of Duty was to be revealed during E3, it would've been a Sony's conference. Of course, Sony is sitting out of this year's E3 event. There's also the fact that Activision has never revealed
Call of Duty at E3 before.
