The long-awaited, and highly anticipated Xbox Series X and the entry-level, albeit equally capable, Xbox Series S finally launched worlwide a couple of days ago, so Xbox players have already had more than enough time to purchase their next-gen console of choice.
For the first time since Microsoft first introduced the Xbox brand in the early 2000s, the all-new next-gen console has launched without a Halo game, which initially had people believing that the the launch of the Xbox Series X|S would be somewhat disappointing.
Fortunately, this has not been the case at all, and Xbox Series X|S consoles have been selling like hot cakes. This was actually first noticeable when pre-orders were opened and players were quick to purchase their console, and launch day was no different.
As revealed by Microsoft Vice President of Gaming Phil Spencer, Xbox Series X|S has reached a new milestone by becoming the largest launch for any Xbox console in the history of the brand; with more consoles sold in the last 24 hours, and in more countries, than ever before.
According to Spencer, the people over at Microsoft are closely working with retailers in order to meet demand, and further proving that he was right in not being concerned about the lack of first-party titles at launch, as supplies will dictate how well the console is doing in terms of sales, and so they have.
Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are currently available.
