However, that figure fall just short of the record set in 1997, which saw 9,899 gamers descend upon the Las Vegas strip.

Dragon Ball FighterZ was the game of choice, but it comes in 7th place.
Prize money is split prize money is split 60/20/10/4/2/2/1/1 between the top 8 competitors for each game. The more people that sign up for a particular game, the higher the prize pool. Ten dollars from each contestant's registration fee goes into the prize pool, meaning the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate circuit has a prize pool of $34,920 USD, with top place taking home $20,952 USD.
