Unto The End is an upcoming 2D cinematic combat-adventure title being developed by 2 Ton Studios and published by Big Sugar, which was first announced during the E3 back in 2017, and expected to release for the PlayStation 4, nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.

According to the developers, Unto The End's gameplay mechanics focus on a solid combat system that will see players attacking, dodging, and countering enemy attacks using a wide variety of weapons; fighting both one-on-one or group battles.

Combat isn't just for show, however, as the developers reveal that each encounter will help unfold the game's story — which, in and of itself, is quite an interesting concept; especially because the choices players make can impact the story, as well.

Today, we get an exciting new trailer for 2 Ton Studios' Unto The End, which gives us a better idea of what the game's combat style will actually be like when the game finally becomes available next year, as well as a look at some of the beautifully realised environments.

Check it out:

Unto The End is a 2D cinematic adventure with skillful sword-based combat and emergent gameplay. You take the role of a father, who sets out on a quest for vengeance after his family is killed by a ferocious beast. It's a journey driven by unforgiving encounters, meaningful choices, and moments of stark beauty.

Unto The End is expected to release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.
