Actor Ben Schwartz Signs On To Voice Sonic In Paramount's SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Film
We've waited a long time to learn who would be playing the titular hedgehog, but thanks to a new report, we now know Ben Schwartz will be voicing Sonic in Paramount's upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie...
Paramount's CGI/live-action hybrid Sonic the Hedgehog had already cast several actors in a number of key roles, including Jim Carrey as Doctor Robotnik, but they had yet to cast the titular speedster. That is, until now!
According to a new report from Variety, actor Ben Schwartz (Parks & Recreation) has signed on to voice the iconic video game character, Sonic, in the Jeff Howler directed movie.
While Schwartz is mostly recognized for his live-action roles, he does have voice acting experience as he recently lent his talents to Disney Channel's rebooted DuckTales series, bringing the character of Dewey Duck to life.
Sonic the Hedgehog is currently set to hit theaters during the 2019 holiday season and is produced by Deadpool director Tim Miller.
