Over the past couple of years, movies like Assassin's Creed and Warcraft have gotten our hopes up that things might finally take a turn for the better with the video game movie genre. That sadly hasn't proved to be the case and now a lot of hopes are being pinned on Tomb Raider to turn things around. Starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, what we've seen from it points to it being a faithful adaptation.
Today, it's been confirmed that a new trailer will arrive tomorrow and a teaser for that has been released featuring...Destiny's Child?! That's right, your ears aren't deceiving you; that seems to be the song of choice for our next look at the movie but that might be down to the studio trying to appeal to female fans. Either way, this sneak peek is definitely pretty impressive and it looks like a lot of fun.
Bear in mind that Tomb Raider is being released on March 16th, Flashpoint's original release date!
Whether or not it will live up to expectations is something of a mystery but the early signs are good (then again, they were for the disappointing movies mentioned above). What do you guys think about this teaser and what we've seen from Tomb Raider so far? Let us know your thoughts below.
