A new trailer for WB's Rampage video game movie reveals a previously unknown plot-point so if you want to head into the April 20th release knowing as little as possible, try not to watch. The trailer also reveals that there'll be quite a bit of humor in the film, something absent from the super-serious first trailer.
Rampage sees Johnson reteam with his San Andreas and Journey 2 director Brad Peyton. The film also stars Batman v Superman's Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Moonlight's Naomie Harris, Watchmen actress Malin Akerman, and the DCEU's Deathstroke, Joe Manganiello.
One positive aspect of the film is that it's releasing between superhero juggernauts and fill face its stiffest competition from the John Cena comedy Blockers (April 6), the Ann Farris comedy Overboard (April 13) and the Paula Patton thriller, Traffik (April 27). Clearly, Rampage is poised for a strong box office run should reviews give the film a passable score.
