Ralph Breaks The Internet is set to arrive in theatres in exactly two months time. The upcoming sequel will not only see the return of fan-favourite characters from its predecessor but also introduce new ones. Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, directors of both Wreck-It Ralph and its sequel, recently sat down with Screen Rant to discuss this topic.

The upcoming animated film follows Ralph and Vanellope as they venture into the expansive world of the internet. This is somewhat of a far cry from the first film which explored ole arcade machines, but nevertheless, fan-favourite characters Calhoun and Felix will be returning. "Of course, Ralph, Vanellope and Felix and Calhoun are going to be back. As well as our original voice talent, John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch, and Jack McBrayer," Moore explained, before segueing into new stars, "And they will be joined by some incredible new characters including a character named, Yesss. That is Yesss with three S’s. Yesss. Played by the incredible Taraji P. Henson, who you know, from Empire and Hidden Figures."

Co-director Johnston elaborated, explaining the concept of Henson's character - that being the embodiment of "Buzzfeed meets YouTube."

So Yesss, is an algorithm. The heart and soul of a trend making site called BuzzTube. You can think of it as, Buzzfeed meets YouTube. If it's cool, if it's trendy, if it's now, Yesss has discovered it. And she shared it with the world. She's going to be really important to Ralph and Vanellope on their journey through the Internet... She's just pretty cool looking, because she has all these different hairstyles and fashion. She's able to keep up with the latest trends through her website. And Yesss has the ability to constantly shift the look of her hair based on the looks that are trending at the moment. And her will change from scene to scene. That's our Yesss.

"And because she lives in a digital world, her jacket, for instance here is made up of thousands of fiber optics. Personally, I think she might be one of the coolest Disney characters ever, other than Sour Bill from Wreck-It Ralph," Moore continued, "Our team has had so much fun bringing Yesss to life and she's just one of many new characters in the film."

What do you think of Yesss' design and concept? Are you excited to see her on-screen once the film debuts on November 21st? Are you glad to hear that Felix and Calhoun will be returning?

Ralph Breaks The Internet smashes into theatres on November 21st.
