Though a new trailer for Hogwarts Legacy was expected to debut during The Game Awards ceremony last month, the Harry Potter game was evidently a no-show. Now, however, it's expected to feature during PlayStation's next State of Play presentation.
Reputable insider Tom Henderson has purported on Twitter that Sony's next online event will be streamed next month and it will be a particularly "pretty big" one. When asked about Hogwarts Legacy in particular, Henderson suggested it played a part in him referring to the State of Play as such.
This lines up with another credible insider's advice, that being to expect more Hogwarts Legacy news "early this year." This same insider, AccountNGT, claims that the action-adventure game should be expected to release later this year, Q3 2022 to be specific. What's more, Henderson supports this proposed release window in his own video about the upcoming State of Play.
AccountNGT also recently mentioned that Grand Theft Auto VI will be the only game to come out of Rockstar Games this generation. Additionally, Henderson reports that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will release later this year, however, it could be pushed back to 2023 — more on that here.
