Avalanche Studios is not only working on
Just Cause 4, but also co-developing
Rage 2 and creating a new IP
Generation Zero. The studio is not only busy, but also incredibly ambitious, as Avalanche reportedly wants to make the best open-world sandbox ever with
Just Cause 4. While we still have to wait to judge the finished product,
Just Cause 4 might very well be the most bombastic game ever.
Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for the game (thanks, GameSpot!) that features a ton of never-before-seen footage, including a brief look at an invisible jet. The fact that you will have a chance to control (and battle) hi-tech vehicles like undetectable jets shouldn’t be surprising, as Rico Rodriguez will face a dangerous private militia within the homeland of Solis, known as The Black Hand.
The power of Avalanche's new engine has allowed the studio make some improvements, as J
ust Cause 4 is now capable of rendering huge landscapes and extreme weather simulations, not to mention enhanced physics.
Just Cause 4 is almost here, and it looks like the sandbox will be a perfect palate cleanser after
Red Dead Redemption 2 and
Assassin's Creed Odyssey, so check out the latest trailer:
Welcome to Solis, a huge South American world home of conflict, oppression and extreme weather conditions. Just Cause 4 sees rogue hero Rico Rodriguez land in Solis to hunt down the truth about his past, at any costs. Strap into your wingsuit, equip your fully customizable grappling hook, and get ready to bring the thunder!
Just Cause 4 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 4, 2018.
