MARVEL'S AVENGERS Latest War Table Reveals Kate Bishop(Hawkeye) As A New Post-Launch Character

A couple of weeks ago, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics confirmed that the highly anticipated MARVEL's Avengers would be getting one final War Table presentation ahead of its long-awaited release, and that said presentation would be revealing some new details about the upcoming title.

According to the announcement, the War Table presentation would be livestreamed on the 1st of September, which is only three days after the game's official worldwide release. While the developers didn't reveal what exactly they would be showing, players expected to know more about Hawkeye, who is one of the characters that will be joining the game's roster after the launch.

MARVEL's Avengers War Table has just wrapped up, and the developers at Crystal Dynamics did reveal more information about Hawkeye, but not about Clint Barton, as they have revealed that Kate Bishop is, in fact, the Hawkeye that will be joining the game as a post-launch character.

Before you get your panties in a bunch, Crystal Dynamics specifies that Kate Bishop and Clint Barton will both be added to the game after the launch, so them revealing Hawkeye in July of this year was not a fake out announcement; both Hawkeyes will be added after the game releases.

As revealed by the trailer, Kate Bishop's story will be closely tied to Clint Barton's, and the developers at Crystal Dynamics have made it very clear that both Kate and Clint are heavily based on Matt Fraction and David Aja's phenomenal Hawkeye run from the comics.

Check it out:

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

MARVEL's Avengers will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on Friday the 4th of September; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release date to be determined.
