Rockstar announced yesterday that the highly-anticipated
Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer component will start rolling out this week, as the mode launches today for owners of the game's pricey Ultimate Edition. Then, the tests will open up to anyone who played
RDR2 on launch day. On Thursday - anyone who played the game between October 26th and 29th, leading to opening up to everyone on November 30th.
According to new leaks from data-miner Illogical Mods, it looks like the previously leaked Battle Royale mode for
RDR2 is real and it may be similar to
GTA Online's
Motor Wars. That's not everything
Red Dead Online will have to offer, as players can expect to participate in some co-op story-focused missions featuring the return of the honor system that will have a direct effect on your character.
Red Dead Online will also force you to make some moral decisions that will change the way NPCs see you. Rockstar will confirm (or deny) the leak later today when first players will join the muliplayer fun. The fact that the studio is officially staggering the launch should help Rockstar avoid many
GTA: Online's launch problems, as it was filled with smaller and bigger technical issues.
