Just a couple of minutes ago, Rockstar Games announced that the highly anticipated
Red Dead Redemption 2 online component will start rolling out this week. This time, Rockstar won't allow all players join the fun at the same time and will stagger the launch instead. It's definitely good news, as the release of
Grand Theft Auto: Online was filled with smaller and bigger technical issues.
According to Rockstar's official notes, the upcoming
Red Dead Online will transform "
the vast and deeply detailed landscapes, cities, towns, and habitats of Red Dead Redemption 2 into a new, living online world ready to be shared by multiple players. Create and customize your character, tailor your abilities to suit your play style, and head out into a new frontier full of things to experience."
So, how will it work?
Ultimate Edition owners will be the first to check
Red Dead Online out, as they will have access to the beta starting tomorrow, November 27, 2018. Then, the tests will open up to anyone who played
Red Dead Redemption 2 (and it's at least 15 million people) on its launch day. On Thursday - anyone who played the game between October 26th and 29th, leading to opening up to everyone on November 30th. As a reminder,
Red Dead Online is free for all
Red Dead Redemption 2 owners.

After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
