Earlier today GGG revealed more details about the upcoming 3.28 Patch for Path Of Exile and it's Mirage league. The patch is coming with some promising and good looking QoL upgrades and new mechanics alongside some extra treasures for players as they progress through the campaign. With the full reveal just days away on February 26th at 11 AM PST via Twitch (twitch.tv/pathofexile), and launch locked in for March 6th at 11 AM PST on PC and consoles, we're dissecting every crumb GGG has dropped so far. Check out the latest teaser video below:
This league builds on recent patches' focus on smoothing out the grind, with Game Director Mark Roberts teasing massive conveniences in trading, campaigning, and core systems. No full patch notes yet (those drop post-livestream), but the teasers are dripping with Maraketh desert vibes, time manipulation hints, and explosive action. Let's break it down with what we know so far from confirmed buffs to cryptic spectacles.
Confirmed QoL Overhauls: Trading and campaign are getting some touch ups and the star of the show so far? A barrage of player-requested fixes straight from Roberts' mouth in the latest teaser video. Mirage isn't reinventing the wheel with wild league mechanics (yet), but it's polishing the edges to let you focus on slaying. Here is the full rundown from the teaser:
Currency Exchange
They have been looking to update it and make it better, here is a few things they added to it:
- Favorite trades: Pin two currencies for one-click swaps (auto-suggests ratios from recent data).
- Open/interact with stash while exchange is live.
Campaign (Acts 1-10)
+20+ "landmark rooms": Surprise side areas, chests, encounters. Example: Tattoo-dropping island in Karui Fortress. - Early-game feels fresh; hunt for hidden goodies without spoilers.
Divination Cards
Auto-hand-in full sets; sequential rewards auto-transfer to inventory (space permitting). - You can now spam those card stacks without babysitting Navali.
Labyrinth Fonts
Choose your transfigured gem (no more RNG). - Endgame gem hunting just got deterministic.
Trade History
Hover async sales for full item breakdowns. - You can audit your flips without alt-tabbing.
Divine Orbs
Preview exactly which mods will reroll. - Helps newer players reroll with confidence – no more heartbreak on bricking good items by accident.
Ritual
- Icon glows + popup for unspent tribute post-rituals.
- Quick-vessel on completed rites.
Shrines
Click priority over overlapping monsters (e.g., divine shrines). - Helps you stop missing buffs in mob swarms.
These QoL features alone could shave hours off league starts. GGG's been iterating since 3.24, and Mirage doubles down on that.
GGG's teaser game is strong as always with their short, stylish clips hinting at time-sands, wishes, and desert djinn lore. No full mechanics spoiled, but visuals scream "Mirage Archer revival?" or temporal shenanigans. There is some speculation from creators: Mirage Archers buffed, parallel realities, atlas tree for "mirage" mods, legacy league revivals (Sentinel, Affliction?). Other predictions include Genesis Tree nerfs, loot explosion buffs. We will have to wait a few days to see what they bring to the table.
Do not forget, that the full reveal livestream is on February 26th at 11 am PST. You can watch it on the official Path Of Exile Twitch page. About a week after that will be the official Mirage league launch on March 6th at 11 am PST for all platforms. After the reveal, expect challenge rewards, supporter packs, and the usual flood of ladder-chasing and leaderboards checking.
