Capcom won't alter the core story-line of the new
Resident Evil 2, as the upcoming remake will feature two campaigns to provide players with different points of view to the core horror story. The player will have a chance to experience the story from the perspectives of Claire Redfield, the younger sister of former S.T.A.R.S. member Chris Redfield, and Leon Kennedy, a federal agent for the D.S.O.
Resident Evil 2 is powered by the RE Engine, the same game engine Capcom used for
Resident Evil 7: Biohozard and the upcoming
Devil May Cry 5. To remake the classic title, Capcom has hired a massive 800-strong development team to work on the project. To show you the scope of
Resident Evil 2, about 600 developers apparently worked on
Resident Evil 6, as the original was made by less than 50 devs.
