Spider-Man 2 will almost certainly be the biggest video game release of 2022, but if you don't own a PlayStation 5...well, you're not going to be playing it!
Much has been said about the fact this franchise is a PlayStation exclusive, though it's a move which has definitely helped Sony become the dominant brand over Xbox. Today, it's been revealed that PS5 owners will be able to customise their consoles with new Spider-Man 2 themed accessories.
As you can see below, a bundle will be available on October 20 with the console, DualSense controller, and Digital copy of the game included. However, if you already own a PS5, both that console cover and controller will be available to buy separately.
For those, pre-orders start next Friday before they go on sale starting September 1.
"The design was inspired by the in-game symbiote that’s taking over the console and controller, but you can still see some of the underlying red under the tendrils," Jacinda Chew, Senior Art Director, Insomniac Games says. "This represents the various ways players will experience the symbiote takeover in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2."
"It’s a constant push and pull for dominance whether it’s internal or external and the outcome is not certain."

An early synopsis for the game reads, "Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, return for an exciting new adventure in the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise."
"Swing, jump and utilise the new Web Wings to travel across Marvel’s New York, quickly switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales to experience different stories and epic new powers, as the iconic villain Venom threatens to destroy their lives, their city and the ones they love."
