A Ton Of Footage From Telltale Games' Cancelled STRANGER THINGS Game Has LEAKED Online
Following the closure of Telltale Games, and thereby the cancellation of their in-development projects, a ton of footage from their planned Stranger Things video-game has leaked online. Check it out...
With Telltale Games unfortunately closing down, almost all of their upcoming content has been shelved indefinitely. This includes the remaining two episodes of The Walking Dead: The Final Season, The Wolf Among Us: Season 2, and their planned Stranger Things game. However, their Minecraft: Story Mode Netflix series will still come to fruition.
Stranger Things is arguably Netflix's most popular property. Set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the 1980s, the first season focuses on the investigation into the disappearance of a young boy amid supernatural events occurring around the town, including the appearance of a girl with psychokinetic abilities who helps the missing boy's friends in their own search.
Back in June Netflix announced a partnership with Telltale which would see the development of a Stranger Things game. Following the game's cancellation, on account of the studio shutdown, Netflix stated that they were "in the process of evaluating other options for bringing the Stranger Things universe to life in an interactive medium," meaning that a Stranger Things game will most likely see the light of day - just not from Telltale.
PCGamesN recently shared a ton of footage from the cancelled game via multiple gifs (meaning that there's unfortunately no sound).
What do you think of the footage? Would you have liked for Telltale's Stranger Things game to have come to fruition?
