The first
The Walking Dead's trailer introduced us to
Aidan last December. He's a former architect, who's facing the zombie apocalypse with a baseball bat in his hands, just like the beloved characters from the small screen and comics. The video game will give you a chance to choose between one of four playable (anti)heroes and you will be able to play the entire storyline in the coop mode.
The second cinematic trailer focuses on former surgeon Maya who's forced to kill her colleague to survive in
The Walking Dead Universe. The trailer is really well made and reminded me of
Dead Island.
Given her professional background, it's not hard to guess that Maya's special ability is healing. Sadly, it's still unclear how her healing will work in
TWD. Developer Overkill has also updated the game's release window and we should be able to play the game this Fall. With the trailers for Maya and Aidan released, we should have the last two cinematic teasers relatively soon. Check it out:
OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.
Overkill's The Walking Dead releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this Fall.
