When Watch Dogs 2 was finally released, the multiplayer was not able to be included with it. Reviewers had noted that the multiplayer feature of the game was wonky, weird, and overall a mess. Ubisoft heard them and realized they couldn't try and release it like they first had hoped.

Thankfully Ubisoft has managed to develop a fix for the problem, and the multiplayer is back up and running. It should be stated that not every feature ubisoft promised to have in the multiplayer will not be live just yet, as the only things you can do in the multiplayer app are co-op invites, cross-game hacking and hunting down targets for bounties.

A Ubisoft representative had some encouraging words to share regarding the multiplayer and how they were going to add the other multiplayer functions going forward. “We'll continue to monitor the online stability of the seamless multiplayer features and should everything continue to run smoothly, we'll activate the final phase of seamless multiplayer, unlocking the following additional multiplayer features."
