Watch Dogs Legion has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft and is set to be revealed at E3 2019. The official Twitter account of the Watch Dogs franchise (@watchdogsgame) has put out a teaser tweet which features an ominous, silent video of the symbol which prominently featured in the last two games, only this time it's red.

Check out the teaser below:

While now is the first we've officially heard of an upcoming Watch Dogs sequel, there have been leaks and rumours going around regarding it for quite some time now.

Most recently, an Amazon UK listing revealed some interesting gameplay details: "Play as anyone, Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems." In Ubisoft's announcement tweet, they state "God Save the NPCs." This seems to back up the above information.

The very same leak also revealed the setting of the game, that being the UK: "Watch Dogs Legion is set in a near-future, dystopian version of London. It's a post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London's fortunes."

A leak from further back that the afformentioned one, which also insisted that the game would take place in London, UK, says that Watch Dogs Legion will feature a female protagonist by the name of Sarah. She will reportedly be a young, half-Asian woman who works for a counter-terrorist organization that specializes in thwarting cyber attacks.

While the latter leak is up in the air as far as it being legitimate, the former one seems all but confirmed. Thanks to Ubisoft's recent tweet, we now know that we'll find out the ins and outs of the game officially on Monday, June 10th at 1:00 pm PT, when the studio takes to the stage of E3 2019.
