In September of this year, Capcom surprised fans of the Devil May Cry series by announcing that the critically acclaimed Devil May Cry 5 was getting a special edition, which was revealed to become available on launch day for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
At the time, neither Sony nor Microsoft's next-gen consoles had an official release date, but it was still exciting news to know that Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition would be available on day one, especially since it isn't just a graphically enhanced version of the original, as it is also adding some extra content for players to sink their teeth into.
Unfortunately, the announcement trailer revealed that Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition would only be released digitally on the aforementioned next-gen platforms on launch day, although Capcom did confirm that they were working on a physical release that even included PC.
Today we have some great news for those who can't wait to pick up their physical copy of the upcoming hack and slash title, as Capcom officially announced that Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will be launching for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on Tuesday the 1st of December.
The only downside is that players will still have to wait a few more weeks to play the game if they want the physical copy. Capcom also doesn't mention anything about the physical version for PC, but they did share some images of the game's cover, and it is quite glorious.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is expected to release for the PlayStation 5 on Thursday the 12th of November and for the Xbox Series X/S on Tuesday the 10th of November.
