Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection released for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam on the 29th of May this year. The game is a compilation that brings together all 12 classic
Street Fighter titles in the main series—even the first arcade game that many people didn't know about until a decade ago or so.
Like expected, this
Street Fighter Collection was selling like hot cakes when it came out and for good reason, but there were still a few issues with the game that prevented players from enjoying it in its entirety. One of these issues was Akuma being playable in
Street Fighter II: Turbo's Rank Mode, which seemed unfair to some players. Other problems indicated poor connectivity issues when matchmaking online—which is pretty much a deal-breaker for 90% of
Street Fighter players.
Because of the complaints, Capcom quickly addressed the issue by promising to fix the game with an upcoming patch, which they announced about a month ago via the CapcomUnity blog. The patch went live for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam versions of the game on the 27th of June—with the Nintendo Switch patch being pushed back for a later unannounced date.
Today we have new information regarding the Nintendo Switch patch for the
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and it will be available today at 5PM Pacific Time. It is worth mentioning that an internet connection is obviously needed in order to download this patch.
