SoulCalibur VI is a fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco coming for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the
19th of October. It is the latest entry in the
Soul series, which began with the original title;
Soul Edge.
Over the years, the series has remained pretty much unchanged, at least in regards to its combat system. The story in the
Soul games has always been rich, focusing on each character as an individual in their own journey pretty much since the beginning; almost 23 years ago.
SoulCalibur VI is doing something different that has never done before, which is giving players the chance to actually be the protagonist of their own story within the game.
Yesterday, we found out that
SoulCalibur VI was introducing a brand new mode in the form of Libra of Soul, which is a new story mode in which players create their own customisable character. This mode allows them to fully customise their characters by giving them a very distinct look, unique armour sets, their very own weapon of choice, and the fighting style of their choice—adding a wide variety of options for players to choose from.
Today, Bandai Namco has shared some new high definition screenshots for the Libra of Soul story mode that show off some of the character creation mode, as well as some other pics of this new mode's story.
Take a look:
