When
Street Fighter V came out in February of 2016 it, it was met with a miex opinion. While many people deemed the game a good experience from a technical standpoint, others could not get past the lack of content—particularly the lack of returning characters. What's even more unacceptable was the fact that Sagat was nowhere to be found.
It took a whole two years but Capcom finally got their act together and announced that more of the classic characters would be making a comeback—and fans would finally be able to play as the Emperor of Muai Thai himself; Sagat. During this year's EVO, fans were treated to a trailer for Sagat and not only that, but the character would become available that very same day he was revealed.
Today, Capcom shared some rejected concept art for Sagat, via the verified
Street Fighter Twitter account, showing off some very early designs for the character's new look. It's interesting that they were always going for that tiger-themed Sagat, especially because most of his attacks are named after the striped apex predator.
Bow down before Sagat, the Solitary King, for his arrival beckons your attention! Sagat’s move set remains true to his previous appearances with his signature Tiger Shot, Tiger Uppercut, and Tiger Knee Crush.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
