EA and DICE announced today the release date for Battlefield 1's third expansion pack, Turning Tides. The upcoming expansion, which will take the battle to land, air and sea, will be released in two waves.

The first is coming on December 11 and will be available for Premium Pass owners. This content drop will introduce the Cape Helles and Achi Baba maps. A new Operation map set on these maps will allow players to take part in the 1915 British amphibious assault of the Gallipoli peninsula. Additionally, there will be a new Infiltrator Elite Class, six weapons and two melee weapons added to the arsenal, and the L-Class Destroyer.

The second wave, set to arrive in January 18, will send players to the North Sea with the maps Zeebrugge and Heligoland Blight. It will also bring the new Royal Marines and C-Class Airship.

Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners will get a two-week head start with Turning Tides content. Once their headstart with the North Sea content ends, the expansion will become available to purchase as a standalone expansion pack for everyone else.

In celebration of the release of Turning Tides, EA is giving fans a chance to play Battlefield 1's first two expansions - They Shall Not Pass and In the Name of the Tsar - for free between November 22 - December 4 and between December 8 - December 10.
