CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS 4 Developer Says There are No Plans For A Nintendo Switch Version

After last week's multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, developers at Treyarch were asked if Activision has any plans to release the game on Nintendo Switch.

Despite how well the Nintendo Switch is selling, Activision apparently has no plans on bringing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to Nintendo's handheld hybrid console.

During a recent roundtable with Treyarch's Yale Miller, senior producer, and Matt Scronce, gameplay designer, the developers were asked if Activision had plans to release a Nintendo Switch version of Black Ops 4. Miller responded, without hesitation, "No there is not."

With so much changing with this year's Call of Duty - with the implementation of a battle royale mode (which is seemingly replacing a single player campaign) - it's no surprise that Activision and Treyarch would want to focus all of their resources on making the game the best it can be on proven systems already. Gamers haven't shown much interest towards Call of Duty on Nintendo platforms in the past so it shouldn't come as too much of a shock to have to buy the game on another platform if interested.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set for release on October 12 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game was officially unveiled to the world last week; check out all of the recent multiplayer trailers.
