A new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 recently went live which fixes a ton of issues players had with the Zombies mode as well as brings the "Black Market" progression system to both PC and Xbox. The Black Market has been available on PlayStation 4 exclusively for one week as per the exclusivity deal which Sony holds with Activision.

Here's what Treyarch's Reddit post had to say about the Black Market: "The Black Market is also now live across all platforms starting today, granting all players access to hundreds of cosmetic items by progressing through our first Contraband collection, Operation: First Strike. Earn your way across a full season of rewards in Multiplayer and Blackout, including new Signature Weapons, Gestures, Outfits, Calling Cards, Tags, Stickers, Blackout characters, and more."

The real meat of the update however comes in the form of countless fan-requested fixes to Zombies. Many had issues with the fact that you could no longer "hold a zombie" near the end of the round in order to complete side-quests, explore the map, etc. Thankfully the zombies' spontaneous bleed-out time has now been doubled. The most prevalent issue fans had with Zombies was the amount of dogs/hellhounds that would spawn per round, Treyarch also addressed this problem - as you can see in the excerpt below:

Let’s cut right to the chase: last zombie bleed-out time has been doubled, XP earn rates have been boosted for solo and 2-player matches, we’re spawning fewer Hellhounds on mixed rounds in Blood of the Dead and Classified, and players can now use four unique Elixirs per round. We’ve also made other tweaks to ensure a more balanced Zombies experience in addition to these changes, so check out the full list below, jump into some matches, and let us know what you think.

The Reddit post continued to list further minor changes to the Blackout, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes. If you'd like to read the full thread, it's available here.

What do you think of Treyarch's changes? Are you for or against them? What do you think of the Black Market and Zombies mode thus far?
