Activision is still waiting to officially announce Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, but it's just a matter of time as another outlet confirms its existence. But it seems that the fans of Call of Duty, especially the Modern Warfare series, won't have many reasons to celebrate, as the publisher is clearly trying to make another remaster after the success of Raven's Modern Warfare as cheap as possible.
According to Charlie Intel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered doesn't feature a multiplayer mode. The website's source indicates that this time, it's a campaign only remaster. The Amazon Italy listing from last week, stated that the remaster will cost around $25. To buy the remaster of the first Modern Warfare in 2017, the gamers had to pay $40, so it only confirms the gossip and rumors.
What's even more worrying, it the fact that Raven Software, the developer of Modern Warfare Remastered, apparently won't return to develop the second remaster. The studio was also responsible for bringing Black Ops 3 to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2015. It looks like Activision has decided to hire Beenox, the home of all those Spider-Man games from the last-gen consoles, as the dev's job listing says that "[Beenox] is currently dedicated to the development of the Call of Duty franchise.”
