Infinity Ward had Geoff Keighley and GameTrailers over to take a peak under the covers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. We've included a couple of the videos below!
Todd Alderman, lead Multiplayer Designer for Modern Warfare 2 said "Everything in the game is just super-sized. Everything is bigger. There is more customization, more levels, more of everything."
There are 70 levels and then prestige. There is a lot more for prestige, but they didn't get into specifics.
They didn't verify that there were maps that take place in the U.S., but they did say "there are maps from all over the world." The fact that the most recent "Infamy" trailer ends with a firefight in front of the Washington Monument would lead one to believe that there are indeed some U.S. based maps.

New features include kill streaks and death streaks. Death streaks allow you to watch your death and press a button to steal the players class for your next life, including weapons and perks that you don't have access to yet.
The Infinity Ward team has added new kill streak bonuses, including the ability to call in an AC-130 Gunship once you hit 11 kills. No word on what comes after the 11th kill, but they Todd Alderman did say "11 is not the highest number I know."
Four maps were on display for Modern Warfare 2's "Spec Ops Mode", a new mode completely seperate from the single-player campaign and the multiplayer modes. There are no check-points. If you die, you're done, so it's probably a good idea to enlist the aid of a friend for co-op mode. There are three stars per mission, and 69 total stars, which means there are 33 missions.
Each mission in "Spec Ops Mode" is different and varies depending upon your difficulty setting. "Spec Ops Mode" also includes a "Juggernaut" enemy which can only be seen in this new mode. Explosives, 50 calibur, and a knife between their body armor seem to be the only ways to take them down.
So what are some of the enhancements added to Modern Warfare 2 based upon community input? According to Robert Bowling, Creative Strategist for Modern warfare 2, they've included a snow map and the number one thing on the multi-player modes; multiple attachments for weapons.
When asked what people aren't expecting, Robert Bowling said "The one big bombshell people are going to see is that we've been invaded. War has changed and how we play it is completely new."
