Shortly after the very successful launch of Call of Duty: WWII, players experienced issues with the game's online servers and multiplayer. As a temporary fix, developer Sledgehammer Games pushed live an update that
dropped the dedicated servers and moved to a P2P setup. And although a P2P setup had actually improved things, it came with its own set of headaches and annoyances. Ultimately, Sledgehammer's goal was to return Call of Duty: WWII to dedicated servers, and as of today they have.
In a post on Twitter, Sledgehammer Games confirmed that global dedicated servers are now live across PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This, along with the latest patch, should hopefully bring an end to crashes at the end of the match. But should you still experience issues, Sledgehammer urges you be as specific as possible in your report.
Now that the server issues have been fixed, Sledgehammer can hopefully turn their attention towards Headquarters which has been operating as a solo experience since launche despite being created and intended as a social hub similar to Destiny 2's Tower.
Call of Duty: WWII launched earlier this month, and is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
