Earlier this month, Bungie announced
Destiny 2's second expansion,
Warmind, and its expansion; but, the developer offered little in terms of specific details. That'll change tomorrow with the official livestream reveal event on Twitch. Reminding players of the event, Bungie released a teaser video for the reveal stream.
The video features some fresh footage from the new expansion which promises to
“send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies. You’ll earn new loot and master new activities.” More specifically, tomorrow's reveal stream will include exploring Mars Hellas Basin, surviving the hive escalation protocol, and learning more about the upgraded exotics and crucible updates on the way.
Join developers from Bungie and Vicarious Visions for a look at a new destination to explore, a new cooperative endgame activity to master, and new ways to level up in the Crucible. The reveal of 'Warmind,' the second expansion to Destiny 2, begins on April 24 at 10AM Pacific.
As a reminder,
Warmind's release will coincide with the launch of Season 3 (update 1.2.0) which will mark the beginning of
"a new plan" for how Bungie delivers Crucible content. As
previously explained:
All players will receive new Crucible Maps as well as maps previously released with Curse of Osiris, regardless if you’ve purchased either of the expansions. In an attempt to keep the community in the Crucible unified, everyone will see new arenas in matchmaking playlists like Quickplay, Competitive, Trials of the Nine, Iron Banner, as well as the new weekly rotators that include Rumble and Mayhem. Additionally, update 1.2.0 will bring Private Matches; however, players will need to purchase each Expansions to have exclusive access to play those Crucible maps with other players in a private match.
Destiny 2 Warmind is set for release on May 8.
