Digital Extremes delivered one of the standout moments of PAX East this weekend in Boston, treating fans to a lively Main Theater panel packed with new reveals for both Warframe and Soulframe. Joined by special guests Nick Apostolides, known for his work in Warframe: 1999 and Resident Evil, and Rocco Botte of Mega64, the team mixed exciting showcases with fun community challenges and even let the audience help choose the next Deluxe skin.

The panel capped off with cinematic flair, giving attendees a first look at Voruna Prime and several stylish new cosmetics for Warframe, while also offering a sneak peek at upcoming Soulframe content.

Voruna Prime, the next Prime Warframe is set to launch on April 8th across all platforms. Described as the wolven queen, this will be the first fully quadrupedal Prime Warframe, giving her a completely unique movement style as she crouches on all fours to stalk and pursue prey.

Players can her to have aggressive abilities, including powerful fang attacks that inflict status effects, summoning her companion Lycath to join the hunt, and a devastating long-range pounce. She will come equipped with the Perigale Prime rifle, Sarofang Prime axe, and matching Prime accessories. As with previous Prime Access releases, players will be able to earn her through regular gameplay or unlock her instantly via the Warframe Market.

The panel also teased two highly requested deluxe skins arriving in the untitled Summer Update. Dante, the master of reality’s pages, and Baruuk, the reluctant warrior, are both receiving fresh deluxe designs that look sleek and thematic. Additionally, Mesa will join the premium Heirloom skin line later this year, bringing new gunslinging fashion to the fan-favorite outlaw frame.

These cosmetics continue Digital Extremes’ strong track record of delivering visually striking and community-driven designs that give players more ways to personalize their favorite Warframes.

Although the Soulframe team could not attend in person, the panel still delivered exciting updates for the game’s ongoing closed Alpha test, Soulframe Preludes. Attendees got their first proper look at the new Duelo Pact and a preview of the anticipated Wolf Mount, both expected later this year.

Just days before the PAX panel, the Soulframe team held a remote Devstream that detailed the upcoming 14th Preludes update arriving in April. The highlight is a new narrative Fable called “The Wreck Of Mestra Carmo,” which sends players on a quest to investigate rumors of a haunted shipwreck and face off against a long-lost master fencer.

Completing the Fable allows players to forge the Duelo Pact with the new Ancestor, Carmo. This pact brings swashbuckling flair with the rapier Navalha and a new Mestra armour set. The update also adds the Fallen Ode Skytower environment, new enemies, Agari sub-bosses like the Rovgot Wyrm, and a new Siege Encounter mission at Mirifuir Castle.

Additional improvements include a new progression system for the first Ancestor Orlick, a reworked journal UI for easier task tracking, five new Votive side quests, and enhancements to the combat system that tie Runes’ power activation to fully-charged heavy attacks.

Players interested in joining Soulframe Preludes can sign up on the official website. Access is granted through weekly random draws or instantly by becoming a Founder.

Throughout the panel, the emphasis remained on celebrating the communities behind both games. Megan Everett, Community Director at Digital Extremes, shared her thoughts after the event:

“Celebrating Warframe’s anniversary at our TennoVIP gatherings and interactive panels like we had today are some of my favorite ways to connect with our players in person. We know how much the community loves these cinematic Prime trailers, and I think the team really raised the bar this year. I’m extremely proud of their hard work and also honored that the Soulframe team trusted us to debut their reveals! We’re so blessed with two incredible communities that always show up for both games and can’t wait to show you what else we have cooking up for the rest of the year.”

The combination of in-person energy, special guests, and meaningful reveals created a strong impression at PAX East. Digital Extremes continues to demonstrate why it maintains such dedicated player bases across its titles by balancing big content drops with genuine community engagement.

Voruna Prime launches on April 8th, giving Warframe players something powerful to look forward to in the very near term, while Soulframe’s steady stream of Alpha updates shows the team is making consistent progress on its ambitious new project.

With more content planned throughout 2026, both Warframe and Soulframe players have plenty to stay excited about in the months ahead. Will you be playing?
