The haunting month of October has begun and, as such, so has Overwatch's annual Halloween event. The event was confirmed as having begun by Blizzard in today's Patch Notes. The notes read as such, describing what the event consists of:
The fright for the future returns!
We’re celebrating the scariest time of the year with a seasonal event: Overwatch Halloween Terror! Expand your collection of spooky seasonal items and relive the chilling tale of Junkenstein's Revenge in our PvE brawl. This year we’ve added two new heroes to the fray: Brigitte and Tracer!
In addition to playing the limited-time brawl, you'll also be able to unlock new seasonal items—including six new legendary skins like Banshee Moira, Jack-o’-lantern Wrecking Ball, and Enchanted Armor Pharah—alongside our growing collection of bone-chilling gear from previous years
This announcement was shortly followed by a trailer which shows off this year's new and exciting character skins. Though many of the Halloween-themed skins had been revealed prior to the trailer, this is our first official look at a couple - like Sombra's Bride of Frankenstein-inspired skin or Soldier 76's Jason Vorhees (of the Friday the 13th film franchise).
Check out the new trailer below:
What do you think of the skins? Will you be participating in the Halloween Terror 2018 event?
Overwatch's Halloween Terror event is now live.
