The Dead Space section of the EA booth is packed!!
The creators of the comic, Anthony Johnson and Ben Templesmith are here signing copies of the book.
The line to enter the Dead Space room for hands-on play has been a steady draw for people passing by. At my last check, the average wait time was about 20 minutes. Which isn't too bad given that many are playing for as long as they can stay alive.
Having seen some of the reactions from people as they come out from behind the black curtain, one could predict this game is going to be a HUGE success.
For those I'm able to catch going in, I've recommended that they bring an extra pair of shorts. One poor chap didn't believe me, his loss.
The game itself is showing extremely well on two stations. Behind the stark black door are two 60 inch flat-screen TVs, a wireless 5.1 headset for one station and surround sound speakers hooked up to the other, adding to the immersive experience within.
Once inside, you're treated to a game walk-through that allows you to get a good feel for the game...for as long as you can stay alive, that is. Or seven minutes, whichever lasts longer.
Last but hardly least adding to the Dead Space experience is a man fully dressed in the rig worn by the main character in the game, Isaac Clarke.
The suit looks amazing and is a fantastic replica of the one worn in the game.
