Based on the classic
Wonder Boy series created by Ryuchi Nishisawa,
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom is a colourful action-adventure game with platfroming elements developed by Game Atelier and published by FDG Entertainment. The game will offer physical copies for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch and will be available digitally for the Xbox One.
Much like
Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, released for consoles and Steam in 2017 as a remake of the original
Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap from 1989,
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom features beautiful hand drawn graphics that make the game look like an animated cartoon—in the best way possible.
Today, FDG Entertainment has shared a first look at the
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom Launch Edition package. This package will include a 24-page full colour instruction booklet like all classic games of yesteryear, 2 sticker sheets with characters from the game, and the physical copy of the game.
Pre-orders for the game are currently available and will help players secure a copy of the
Launch Edition package.
