Guacamelee! is a Metroidvania game developed and published by independent developer Drinkbox Studio. The game was originally released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, and was later ported to Windows, OS X, and Linux.

Drinkbox Studios later released an enhanced version of the game titled Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, which included all of the previous DLC for the base game, as well as new levels and bosses for Juan Aguacate to face. This version was released for the PlayStation 4, Nintendi Wii U, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows in 2014.

Today, Drinkbox Studios has announced that Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition is making its way into the Nintendo Switch. The game was made immediately available for players to purchase via the Nintendo eShop today, and we get a new trailer in order to celebrate.

The good news don't end there, though, as PopAgenda will be teaming up with Drinkbox Studios to bring Guacamelee! 2 to the Nintendo Switch, and the game will be available this December.
