Guacamelee 2 is the sequel to the critically praised Guacamelee. Developed and published by independent developer DrinkBox Studios, Guacamelee 2 also embraces the metroidvania style of gameplay, offerig challenging platforming and non-linear gameplay where players explore its open world at their leisure.

The game continues the story of Juan Aguacate who is now enjoying his normal life as a family man when he finds out that Mexico is in danger once again. In order to protect his new family, Juan begins his new adventure to deal with powerful threats.

Gameplay in Guacamelee 2 is a unique mix of brawling and platforming that gives players new powers and a challenging world to use these powers in. Juan can now turn into an all-new combat-ready chicken to maul skeletons. Thanks to his new Eagle Boost our hero can hook onto special points and hurtle past them. As a new feature, Guacamelee is also adding 4 multiplayer co-op.

Seven years after defeating Carlos Calaca, Juan Aguacate is forced to don his luchador mask again to face a new threat -- this time to the very fabric of space and time.

Guacamelee 2 will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Steam on the 21st of August.
