It seems like Sega is working on a brand-new entry in the popular Monkey Ball series, and the announcement is allegedly expected to be made at some point later this month. At least that's what a mysterious post by one of the games' voice actors has seemingly hinted at.
The information comes from voice actor Brian Matthew Uhl, who has voiced the announcer in several titles in the Monkey Ball series, and has recently shared a post on his Instagram account; where he is seen playing Super Monkey Ball on a friend's Nintendo Switch.
Where things get iteresting is when he seemingly hints at a new Monkey Ball title, mentioning that he needs to "stop shouting 'Ready, Go!'," and that it will all make sense later on; revealing that September "will be amazing for what's to come," and tagging Sega and the official Instagram account for Monkey Ball, amongst others.
In October of last year, Sega released Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, which is actually a remaster of the original Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, but that's technically the latest entry that has been released.
Sega also revealed that they were open to the idea of remastering more games in the Monkey Ball series, so what Brian Matthew Uhl is teasing could well be another remaster and not a brand-new game.
This is obviously a tease of sorts, but we will still have to keep waiting for Sega to make any announcements official. Whatever the case, this is great news for fans of the series who have been itching for a new Monkey Ball game; regardless if it is a remaster or not.
