Developed by D-Pad Studio and published by Soedesco,
Owlboy is a fantastic 2D platformer in which players get to soar the skies in some beautifully realised pixel art environments. The game was released digitally for every current home console, as well as Steam, with the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 getting a physical copy back in May—
as well as a Limited Edition for the Switch and PS4 on the way.
The
Owlboy: Limited Edition was including a bunch of items like the game's soundtrack, certificate of authenticity, a sticker sheet, and other interesting collectibles for fans of the game—making it quite a great deal for collectors, as well. The
Limited Edition was announced earlier in May and was scheduled for a July 16th release—
only to be delayed, for the first time, earlier in June.
As stated in the announcement by Soedesco, the
Owlboy: Limited Edition was now supposed to come out on the 31st of August but it is now confirmed to have been delayed once again. The information was posted on Soedesco's verified Twitter Account in which they mention that this new delay will see the
Limited Edition releasing on the
28th of September. The new date applies only to North America and Canada, since the
August 31st date still stands for other territories.
It is unclear what the reason behind the
Owlboy: Limited Edition delay is since the publisher didn't give any explanation as to why it's being delayed only in North America and Canada but they did apologise for the delay while also promising their fans that the delay will be worth it.
