This year's entries in the long-running Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies series are both expected to hit stores this fall, Electronic Arts announced during their recent Q4 and full FY2019 financial report.
When it comes to the next Need for Speed, the game is forecasted to sell four million units this fiscal year – technically by the end of March 31st. According to CEO Andrew Wilson, it will be “revitalizing the street racer vs. cops fantasy at the core of the franchise,” suggesting that Ghost Games' brand-new title will be focused on police chases and all the things that made the original Most Wanted great.
As for the extravagant Plants vs. Zombies franchise, EA doesn't have huge hopes for the upcoming installment, as it's currently expected to hit “low single digit million units.” Rumor has it that PopCap Games' upcoming project is a sequel to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 – and that information will be verified during this year's EA Play in Los Angeles that will run from the 11th of June to the 14th.
Unfortunately, Electronic Arts has not revealed any official details on the next Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies' monetization techniques yet – so let's hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
