Gunfire Games'
Darksiders III launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in November to rather favorable reviews. The slasher reviewed best on PC with a Metacritic score of 71, with Xbox One closely behind it at 69. The PlayStation 4 version has seemingly divided critics the most, attaining an average score of 63, as both console versions still feature some technical hiccups and performance issues.
In their latest financial report, THQ Nordic announced that
Darksiders III "
has performed within management’s range of expectations and has recouped all investments made in development and marketing during the quarter." Considering that the tittle has managed to get its budget back in less than two months, there's a rather big chance that Gunfire is working on
Darksiders IV, starring Strife.
THQ Nordic has already confirmed that
Darksiders III would receive at least two big expansions, titled
The Crucible and
Keepers of the Void, and the report indicates that THQ will launch even more paid content "
that will give the game a further boost." In addition to that announcement, the company will continue to support the franchise in the future, as
Darksiders "
remains one of the Group’s key IP’s."

The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth. Darksiders III is the long-anticipated, third chapter in the critically-acclaimed Darksiders franchise.
