Darksiders III seems like a mix of the two previous games in the slasher series. Just like in the first game, players will have a chance to use possessed souls as currency and revisit the post-apoclayptic Earth, but the combat is more similar to the sequel that featured Death. His sister, Fury, also specializes in more finesse way to finish her enemies, mostly the Seven Deadly Sins and it's not a metaphor.
The GameInfomer crew gives us another chance to take a look at Fury's fight against Sloth, who looks like a green giant crab (with wings). He's a powerful opponent as one of his strikes kills the protagonist and forces the player to replay a small section of the game. Fury has to kill all Sins to break the terrible curse and free her imprisoned and tortured brother, also known as the rebellious War.
Last summer, THQ Nordic announced that Fury will be voiced by actress Cissy Jones, who brought to life Delilah in Firewatch, Joyce Price in Life Is Strange, multiple characters in The Walking Dead, and Sloane in Destiny 2. The said gameplay features some small snippets of her performance and it sounds like the acclaimed artist does a very fine job voicing a strong female character yet again. Check it out:
Return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash Action Adventure where players assume the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth. Darksiders III is the long-anticipated, third chapter in the critically-acclaimed Darksiders franchise.
Darksiders III will be available for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on November 27, 2018.
