Easy Day Studios surprised skateboarding video game fans by announcing Skater XL, which is a game that was inspired by renowned series like Activision's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Electronic Arts' Skate; particularly great news, since none of those series have released any major titles in the last few years.
Just last month, the developers revealed that Skater XL was making its way into the Nintendo Switch. With the announcement, it was confirmed that the game would be releasing for pretty much every current gen platform, although they still had to give us an official release date.
Today we have some great news, as Easy Day Studio has just shared a brand-new trailer for the upcoming Skater XL, which shows off all of the big name brands that the game will be featuring; giving players a tonne of options to customise their characters.
The developers at Easy Day Studios have confirmed that over 25 real brands — that include heavy hitters like Vans, DC, and Element, to name but a few — will be featured in Skater XL in the form of sweatshirts, shorts, hats, and all kinds of skateboarding shoes.
It gets better, as the developers have finally confirmed that Skater XL will be launching for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) on the 7th of July. The game will also be getting a physical release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and Easy Day Studios has revealed thatpre-orders will be available soon via the official Skater XL website.
