#5 Ghost Recon Wildlands

Note: This is based completely on the trailer and not on the game itself. Sit back, relax and don't forget to yell at us when we get one wrong! There were so many awesome trailers that deserve attention, but GameFragger can only pick 5.

First up is Ghost Recon Wildlands' "Cartel" trailer. First person shooters have been going super futuristic the past few years and Ghost Recon Wildlands is going against the grain with something simple, yet epic. Don't believe us... check out the trailer!

About Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Launched in 2001 with critical acclaim from fans of the Tom Clancy’s world, the Ghost Recon franchise has since convinced 25 million players thanks to breakthrough releases and has become the best-selling Tom Clancy’s brand on the last generation of consoles and PC. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands brings the franchise to the next level with an episode designed from the ground up for a new generation, featuring a massive and visually stunning open world, playable for the first time online in four-player co-op.

#4 Injustice 2

What do you get when you gather all the DC heroes and put them into a room... apparently they just fight each other! This trailer was beautifully done. The epice battle that ensues is one wild ride and sure to get any fan excited for Injustice 2. Take a peak and see how Superman, Flash, Batman, Superwoman and Aquaman fair against each other.

Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk. Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favourites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City and Atlantis.

#3 Resident Evil 7 Biohazard

Thrilling... check. Suspensful.... check. First person view... check? The biggest change for the next installment of Resident Evil is the first person view that puts the gamer right into the thrilling world. If there is any game the deserves a comeback in a big way, it is Resident Evil.

Resident Evil 7 embodies the series’ signature gameplay elements of exploration and tense atmosphere that first coined “survival horror” some twenty years ago; meanwhile, a complete refresh of gameplay systems simultaneously propels the survival horror experience to the next level. Terrifying fans at events across the globe last year, the PlayStation VR “KITCHEN” tech demo was developed utilizing the RE Engine’s VR oriented tools, and is the foundation on which the talented Resident Evil team has crafted the immersive horror experience in Resident Evil 7. Powered by the RE Engine in tandem with industry leading audio and visual technologies, Resident Evil 7 is poised to deliver a disturbingly realistic experience that will define the next era in horror entertainment.

#2 Battlefield 1

Sweet Hannah Montana... We love the new World War 1 Battlefield! The gameplay trailer alone makes Call of Duty Infinite Suckfare pee its pants.  This is a refreshing take after years of first person shooters going futuristic and beating a dead horse into the ground.

Set against the backdrop of World War 1, witness the birth of modern warfare, as the Great War saw a furious arms race with new machines and weapons created to get the upper hand during the most technologically divergent war of all time. Feel the intensity and immersion as Battlefield 1 takes advantage of this modern arsenal to deliver the experience fans love, but with a fresh and modern twist.Set against the backdrop of World War 1, witness the birth of modern warfare, as the Great War saw a furious arms race with new machines and weapons created to get the upper hand during the most technologically divergent war of all time. #1 God of War

In the words of Tychus from Starcraft 2, "It's about damn time!"  God of War was a really good game its great to see that it is making a comeback. Kratos is one of the biggest badasses in mythological... er video game history. Not to mention there are some great puzzles that you have to accomplish while playing. It will be interesting to see where the new direction leads Kratos and his son.

The trailer appears to be based on norse mythology and takes place after Kratos decimated the Greek Gods. Gameplay in the trailer showed elements similar to role playing games (RPG), such as archery knowledge points, as well as a Spartan Rage timed-ability during battle.  The action alone gets the #1 trailer spot from E3.
