That's right, Big Daddy made our list. Taking place 10 years before the events of the first BioShock, and some great multiplayer, made this a no-brainer.
Medal of Honor dropped us into the heart of Afghanistan as a Tier 1 Operator. With a great single player campaign, and VERY strong multiplayer (thanks to DICE), this was one of our favorite shooters of 2010. This game would have ranked much higher if it wasn't for our friends list migrating over to *another* shooter that happened along a month later.
No, this isn't a FPS, but there's so much shooting involved that we decided to classify it as a "shooter" for our list. Great single-player as well as top-notch multiplayer made this one of our editor favorites for 2010 (not to mention the "Undead Nightmare" expansion). Oh, and you get to ride a horse!
Yes, we'll probably get strung up for not placing Black Ops at the top of our list... We absolutely loved the game. Awesome single-player, and multiplayer that's almost impossible to compete with, you absolutely can't go wrong with this game. We love the new multiplayer modes, as well as the other enhancements made by Treyarch, but the lack of "team play" kept the title from our number one position.
With their strong emphasis on team play, and the recently released "Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam" expansion, Bad Company 2 squeaks by as our top shooter of 2010. The ability to help your team both offensively and defensively with ammo resupplies, healing and even reviving a downed team mate, help to make you actually feel part of a team. When it comes right down to it, we just have a lot more fun with this game.
