We first heard about Super Mario Odyssey when the Nintendo Switch was announced, and now a cool new gameplay trailer has found its way online. Currently set to be released following the launch of the console, the title will follow Mario as he travels across various worlds outside the Mushroom Kingdom.

It's a unique premise and one which sees the franchise returns to the freeform open-world level design previously featured in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. The game also features several levels inspired by real-world locations such as "New Donk City", inspired by, well, New York City (obviously).

Anyway, check out the trailer below and then be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
