Back in August, Nintendo announced that they would be bundling
Mario Kart 7 with all of their Nintendo 2DS XL consoles. Nintendo had already bundled
Mario Kart 7 with the original Nintendo 2DS back in 2014 so it was only a matter of time before they did the same with the new version of the console.
Mario Kart 7 is a racing game that includes characters from the
Super Mario series. The game was initially released for the Nintendo 3DS in December of 2011, getting pretty good reviews from media outlets. Gameplay-wise,
Mario Kart 7 was the first game to introduce customisable karts, underwater deriving, and also introduced the glider—adding some variety to the tracks.
The new Nintendo 2DS XL
Mario Kart 7 bundles come with a pre-installed version of the game, and are available in three different colours: White + Orange, Black + Turquoise, and the recently released Purple+ Silver. All three Nintendo 2DS XL consoles cost $149.99 USD and can be found on
Nintendo's official website today.
