There is so much to do in New Pokémon Snap that some things take a while to notice. One such thing is a bug created by the first update to the game making it impossible to complete one research request.

Generations of fans can now enjoy the quirkiness of one of the Nintendo 64's best and most niche game titles, Pokémon Snap. With Bandai Namco's recent Nintendo Switch release of New Pokémon Snap, not only are children able to experience the fun for the first time, but adults can feed their nostalgia with a reboot no one ever expected to happen.

In addition to the major improvements in game mechanics and graphics, Bandai Namco has put so much to do in the game that players are only just now realizing and finding certain things. While some of those might be fun Easter eggs or nods to other games or entries in the mega-franchise, others can be much less fun, with some bugs even restricting certain game objectives, rendering them impossible to complete.

When New Pokémon Snap was released, a day-one update was released to fix some of the game's small remaining bugs. However, the team wound up creating another bug by accident, making it so that one request in the game could no longer be completed.

The above tweet shows that the 'Proud Warrior' research request was able to be completed when the game initially released, but since the update, a bug has existed that no longer allows players to do so. While previously able to complete several sequences, which include Mightyena and Furret, and ultimately lead to Braviary eating a fluffruit, those things no longer happen, and it is impossible to complete the request.

It's clear why players are frustrated, particularly completionists, but the bug doesn't prevent you from capturing photos of any creatures or completing the game. That being said, what are your thoughts? Do you have hopes for a fix, or is it too minor to matter?

Pokémon fans will dig our chat with Real Blaines below in which he talks about the bugs in Pokémon Go and Pokémon Sword and Shield.
