Released on the 28th of June, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch,
Super Mario Maker 2 has been very well received by critics and fans of the original level-making title released for the Wii U in 2015; giving fans the opportunity to create their own
Super Mario Bros. themed levels.
Upon releasing,
Super Mario Maker 2 immediately led the video game sales chart in the United Kingdom — taking the number one spot from Activision and Beenox's
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and crashing(pun intended) the game's dreams of staying in the number one spot for 8 weeks straight like the
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy last year.
Today it's been reported that, once again,
Super Mario Maker 2 has managed to stay in the number one spot — with
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled,
F1 2019, and
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe maintaining their last week's positions.
Square Enix's recently released
Dragon Quest Builders 2 manages to squeeze into the Top 5 by pushing
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate all the way back to the 8th position.
